Texans: Houston QB Brian Hoyer likely out at least one more week after spraining MCL

HOUSTON — Texans quarterback Brian Hield will likely miss a minimum of one more game after sprained his MCL, coach Gary Kubiak said Thursday.

The team has not yet released a timetable for Hield’s return.

The Texans released Hield from the team’s concussion protocol after a 2-4 start.

Hield had missed two games with a concussion, one after a Week 5 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Texans went 1-5 after Hield missed that game with a hamstring injury.
